Course Title: Apply Risk Management Processes

HOW IS THE TRAINING DELIVERED?
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Provide current Photo Identification.
- Have a USI# before Enrolment.
- Be able to possess adequate Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills.
COURSE OVERVIEW:
This course will boost your mining opportunities. The G1/S1 will teach you the essentials required to plan and prepare for risk management. You’ll also learn how to assess and identify unacceptable risks as well as the skills and ability to review risk management documentation.
COURSE OUTLINE:
This unit covers Apply Risk Management Processes within the mining, drilling, civil industry. This includes but not limited to:
- Plan and prepare for risk management.
- Identify and assess unacceptable risk.
- Identify and recommend risk controls.
- Contribute to the implementation of risk controls.
- Review risk management documentation.
YOU WILL LEARN TO:
This includes but not limited to:
- Applying planning and organising skills to the risk management processes.
- Identifying or sourcing criteria to determine unacceptable risk.
- Identifying and recognising type and scope of hazards and their impact.
- Assessing and determining the consequence, likelihood and level of potential risk.
- Identifying unacceptable risk using the acceptable/unacceptable criteria.
- Assessing options for appropriate controls and implementing accordingly.
- Identifying and obtaining required resources.
- Preparing and maintaining written records and report requirements.
- Reviewing risk management documentation.
- Identifying and recommending controls.
- Contributing to the implementation of controls

Assessments will be undertaken 100% online.
COURSE DURATION:
This course will be conducted online in your time.
LICENSING REGULATION:
Load shifting equipment (other than a Forklift) are no longer required to have a licence, however an operator must still be deemed competent.
QUALIFICATION OUTCOME:
Successful students receive a "Statement of Attainment", which is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
