Course Title: Manage Conflict and Security Risks using Negotiation & Control Persons using Empty Hand Techniques

HOW IS THE TRAINING DELIVERED?
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold an appropriate Visa to work in Australia.
- Must have completed Certificate II in Security Operations or hold a current Security Licence.
- Hold a current Provide Advanced First Aid Certificate.
- Have a USI# before Enrolment.
- Be able to possess adequate Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills.
COURSE OVERVIEW:
A Security Officer/Crowd Controller must complete refresher training every three (3) years to keep their Security Licence valid.
COURSE OUTLINE:
This covers the below units of competencies, which is recognised under CPP - Property Services Training Package for Certificate III in Security Operations.
- CPPSEC3101 - Manage Conflict and Security Risks using Negotiation.
- CPPSEC3121 - Control Persons using Empty Hand Techniques.
YOU WILL LEARN TO:
- Identify and assess conflict situation and select response option.
- Negotiate conflict resolution.
- Report, evaluate and improve conflict response procedures.
- Assess need to use empty hand techniques and response options.
- Apply defensive empty hand techniques.
- Restrain and isolate subject.
- Finalise and evaluate response.
ASSESSMENTS:
Theory assessments will be completed throughout the Security Refresher course.
Practical assessments will be completed throughout the Security Refresher course.
COURSE DURATION:
LICENSING REGULATION:
To work within the Security Industry, you must hold a current Security Licence as a Security Officer/Crowd Controller you must complete a Security Officer/Crowd Controller Refresher Course every three (3) years. The Security Providers Act 1993 (the Act) Queensland.
QUALIFICATION OUTCOME:
Successful students receive a "Statement of Attainment" within the above units of competencies.
